A 3D figurine of your pet from one photo

A small 3D-printed figure of a pet makes a lovely gift or memorial, but custom sculpting is expensive. With this tool you upload one good photo, the AI builds a full 3D model of your pet, and you download an STL for your printer or for a print service. You can also paint the model with colors from the photo and download it as GLB or OBJ.

How to do it

  1. Pick the right photo (tips below). The whole animal should be visible, not just the face.
  2. Upload it and press Generate. The page uses the Smooth style with 30,000 triangles, which suits fur and soft shapes.
  3. Press Texture if you want colors, then rotate the preview to check it from every side.
  4. For printing, set the size in millimetres (a figure of 60 to 100 mm is a good start) and download the STL.

Which pet photos work best

  • Whole body, seen from a slight angle. A three-quarter side view works better than a straight front view, because it shows the length of the body.
  • Pet standing or sitting still, not curled up in a blanket or half hidden behind furniture.
  • Plain background and soft light. A floor or wall in a different color from the fur helps the AI separate the animal.
  • Sharp photo. Motion blur makes legs and tails disappear.
  • Extra angles help: if you have photos of the same pose from the side or back, add them under "More angles".

Long fluffy fur is the hardest part: it comes out as a smooth shape rather than individual hairs, which actually prints better. More photo advice is in how to choose the best photo for image-to-3D.

Printing the figurine

Thin legs, tails and ears need care. Print at 80 mm or larger if you can, use supports under the belly and chin, and consider a small base: you can add one in your slicer. Resin printers capture more detail at small sizes. See preparing an AI-generated model for 3D printing for wall thickness and orientation.

Questions

Does it work for cats, dogs and other animals?

Yes. Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, horses and reptiles all work as long as the whole animal is clearly visible.

Will it look exactly like my pet?

The visible side usually matches well. The hidden side is predicted by the AI, so markings on the back may differ. Adding a photo of the back helps.

Is my photo kept?

No. Uploaded images and results are deleted automatically after 24 hours. See our privacy policy.

Can I print it in color?

Press Texture and download GLB or OBJ with the texture; color-capable printers and print services accept these. STL has no color.
